Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 15, 2026

Site Reporter (the “App”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles.

1. Data stored only on your device

All content created, captured, or entered in the App is stored only in local storage on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers or to any external party.

  • Project information (project name, client name, work date, location, staff name, notes, etc.)
  • Photos you take or import (image files)
  • Per-photo titles, comments, and category tags
  • App settings (company name, default staff name, PDF footer, PDF logo image, etc.)
  • Comment snippets you register
  • Pro purchase status

This data is removed from the device when you uninstall the App.

2. Anonymous usage analytics and crash diagnostics

For quality improvement and bug fixing purposes, the App sends the following anonymous information to Google’s Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. None of the content you enter in the App — project names, client names, photos, comments, settings — is included in this data.

  • Screen transitions and counts of key feature usage (e.g. project creation, photo addition, PDF generation, PDF sharing, template selection)
  • Anonymous environment information such as device model, OS version, app version, and region
  • When the App crashes, the crash stack trace and a short trail of preceding actions (Crashlytics)
  • App instance identifier — an anonymous ID generated per device. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is not collected.

This data is never collected or used in a personally identifiable way. If you do not want to share it, open the App’s Settings screen and turn off “Allow usage analytics” at any time.

3. Device features the App uses

The App accesses the following device features:

Camera

To take site photos. Captured photos are stored only inside the App’s local storage on your device.

Photo Library

To add existing photos to a project. Only the photos you explicitly pick are copied into the App; the App never reads the rest of your photo library.

You are prompted to grant these permissions the first time they are used. The rest of the App keeps working even if you decline.

4. Sharing with third parties

Other than the anonymous analytics described in section 2, the App does not share your data with third parties.

The following user-initiated interactions do involve third-party services:

  • PDF export and sharing: when you explicitly tap “Share”, the generated PDF is handed off to iOS’s share sheet, which can then forward it to other apps (mail, messages, AirDrop, etc.). The App never shares anything automatically.
  • In-App Purchase: Pro purchases and restores go through Apple (the App Store). Payment details are managed by Apple. The App does not receive or store your Apple ID information or credit card details.

5. Advertising and tracking

The App does not display advertising. It does not perform App Tracking Transparency tracking (cross-app or cross-website user tracking) either. The analytics described in section 2 are used only for improving this App and are not used for third-party advertising or cross-service tracking.

6. Children’s privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

7. Data security

Because the App’s primary content (project info, photos, etc.) is stored only on your device, protecting it relies on your device security (screen lock, biometric authentication, etc.). We recommend enabling your device’s lock features in case the device is lost or stolen. Data sent to Firebase (section 2) is encrypted via HTTPS in transit.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as needed. Changes will be announced on this page.
