Terms of Use

Last updated: May 24, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the iPhone app “Move-Out Report” (“App”) provided by Moeki Kozawa (“Developer”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Scope

These Terms apply to all actions taken by users in connection with the App.

2. License

The Developer grants you a non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the App for personal or business purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not transfer, lend, or redistribute the App to third parties.

3. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works of the App
  • Remove or alter copyright or trademark notices
  • Technically remove or modify the footer attribution (“Created with Move-Out Report” etc.) that PDFs from the Free version carry, without purchasing Pro
  • Violate any law or public order
  • Infringe on others’ rights (e.g. photographing someone else’s residence without consent)
  • Record a signature without the consent of the signing party
  • Cause damage or disadvantage to the Developer or third parties

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create, capture, or enter in the App. The Developer does not claim any ownership of user content. User content is stored only on your device (see Privacy Policy section 1).

You are responsible for obtaining all necessary consents (privacy, image rights, property rights, etc.) from the parties involved before using the App.

5. In-App Purchases (Pro)

5.1 Format

Pro is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription.

5.2 Feature Differences

See the Support page for the feature comparison.

5.3 Restore

Tap “Restore Purchase” on the Pro screen if signed in with the same Apple ID.

5.4 Refunds

Refunds follow Apple’s policy. Submit refund requests via reportaproblem.apple.com. The Developer cannot process refunds individually.

5.5 Price Changes

The Developer may change the Pro price in the future. Changes apply only to future purchases; existing purchases are unaffected.

6. Intellectual Property

All copyright and intellectual property in the App and its contents belongs to the Developer or its rightful owners. User content rights remain with the user.

7. Data Handling

Data handling is governed by the separate Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

8.1 As-Is

The App is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted operation.

8.2 Business Use

The App is an assistive tool for creating move-out inspection records and does not guarantee the legal validity of generated PDFs or signatures as evidence in security deposit disputes or as official documents. You are responsible for confirming that report content and format conform to your organization’s policies and applicable laws and regulations.

For legal matters, please consult an attorney.

8.3 Signature Handling

The signature feature is an audit-trail aid for inspection parties’ mutual confirmation, not a substitute for legally binding agreements. We recommend documenting critical agreements separately in writing.

8.4 Data Loss

App data is stored only on your device. Loss or corruption may occur due to device failure, loss, or OS updates. The Developer is not liable for damages from data loss. We recommend exporting PDFs as backups.

8.5 Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or special damages arising from use or inability to use the App.

9. Service Suspension / Termination

The Developer may suspend or terminate the App without prior notice for maintenance, force majeure, or Developer-initiated discontinuation.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as needed. Significant changes will be announced on this page.

11. Governing Law / Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Japanese law. Any dispute regarding the App or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
